Welcome

I want to take this opportunity to welcome everyone back from a long restful summer. We at Bruin Land are excited about the up coming year and the changes we are adding to our school to serve you (the students, our customers) better. I have heard positive things so far; from the Jukebox, to the concession stand, to the awesome blue tape that make up the lines.... OK no one said anything about the Blue Tape But I'm waiting.

Bruin Xpression is another thing we added for you. This will mainly be run by Student Services, the Deans and myself. This is a way to communicate our thoughts about different issues we would like your input on.

We not only hear you but we listen to you. During the assembly a student asked for a comment box. Guess what Here it is. If you have a comment, a suggestion, a complaint, let us know we will certainly look at it. We can't promise it will always turn out the way you want but we will give you some answers.

This is all the time I can give for right now check back soon for other messages.

  1. I love the jukebox in the cafateria. It gives us a chance to actually enjoy our lunch and be patien enough to stand in those horribly long lunch lines.I have a question...Why can't Freshmen and Sophmores eat at the same lunch? It is a huge adjustment eating with the juniors and seniors. It feels very uncomfortable.Anyways...I am relly looking forward to this school year and I hope to make the best of it!!!!

  3. Brandi I understand your concern. But Imagine the adjustment you have to make having had one year under your belt. Now imagine the adjustment Freshmen have to make coming from middle school to the high school. We as an administration looked at many possible scenarios and we modeled ours after many successful programs that had a true Freshmen building and Lunch. If more students feel the way you do maybe we can visit this again.

By the way thank you for being the first to sign on here. Look for me tomorrow at lunch for a PBS treat in the Concession stand.

  4. I'd suggest that we should have events for those whom achieve GPA averages 2.5 and above at the end of every nine weeks or each semester. An event that is related to Bear Fest like activities. It sounds exciting, but it can be costly. I really wouldn't want it to be LIKE the Bear Fest, but more of an alternative to it, if you get the picture.
But that is just my idea.
You can "incubate" on it as Mrs. Leonhard always says lol, unless you totally disagree with my idea. Haha,
    Thx.

  5. Keyan, wonderful Idea. What we are working on as part of a PBS activity is a dance during school hours. As I'm thinking about it we could have like a PBS Prom. Students who are eligible could come dressed up in suits and Tuxes and dresses, we could have it in the gym. Or if not the Prom we could have another theme. We could vote on it here!

Another thing is Bruin Bucks we are trying to get the kinks out.

We need students like yourself to "incubate" or perculate Ideas.

  7. Ok, so I have come up with another idea, haha.
It would be pretty neat if the principal or even you will approve of us doing some Graffiti on a wall that you particularly wouldnt really need to worry about.
I mean, take the Art-Woodshop bulding for example. Like that whole building(maybe the bottom part) has to do with art anyway lol.
I bet that my Art teachers will maybe even approve on it, i mean its a great idea and it will be fun with the students.

That will be an awesome place to make some graffiti of Bonnabel, anything related to such a thing. But no profanity or etc..
And it will be very fun indeed.
I hope you like this idea haha,

  8. Mr. K and I have often talked about this but we wanted the students to come up with a set of rules that would govern the project. We want it to come from you the student body. If we design it, students might think this is coming from "us" and will not get excited about it. I'll tell you what, you make a proposal with other students who are interested and we will try to implement it as soon as it is approved.

  9. Ok, kool, and we'd like to have a alternative sports team such as ping pong or so.
I never found out what happened to the Swimming team.
I had told Mr.K last year and he said he was gonna get back at me, but forth no effort into it.
There had been many people that had signed up for it.
And i know there still are many students in Bonnabel that like to participate on a swimming team.
I mean, even Grace King has all that.
I want Bonnabel to be the best in everything and the time is now.

    But its up to yall.
